Parents, guardians, family members, teachers, or community members may nominate a child for testing into the Utopia ISD Gifted and Talented Program at any time. Students who qualify for the program receive regular GT services in the upcoming school year. If you would like to nominate a child to be screened for our GT program, please request a form from akay@utopiaisd.net and complete the nomination survey.

Utopia ISD's annual holiday lunch with family members in the cafeteria will be Thursday December 8th. More information will be sent home with students and posted on the website after Thanksgiving break. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving !

District CC Meet, Monday , Oct 10th @ Rocksprings Golf Course. Six miles south of Rocksprings on HWY 55 between Rocksprings and Barksdale. HS will leave at 6:30 am. VG run @ 9:00am, VB run @ 9:30 am and JV run @10 am. Junior High will leave at 2:30 pm. Junior High Girls run at 5:00 pm and Junior High boys @ 5:30pm.

Tomorrow ,October 7th , money is due for HS BB boys shooting shirts and for HS student backpacks with names. ($38 for each....)

Utopia CC teams will be leaving at 12:00 , Monday, October 3rd to Rocksprings. The Cross Country meet will be held at the Golf Course. Varsity Boys will be running at 2:30. Varsity Girls will be running at 3:00. JH Girls will be running at 3:40. JH Boys will be running at 4:10. JH girls playing volleyball will not be going to the cross country meet.

Get ready to celebrate the Joy of Books with the 2022 Fall Book Fair. October 17-21, 2022 from 8:00-4:00. Family Night is October 20 until 6:00 pm. All visitors must check in at the school office. UTOPIA ISD CAREER FAIR Friday, October 7, 2022 8 am - 2 pm Competition Gymnasium 258 School St., Utopia, TX 78884 We need to expose our 7-12th grade students to a wide variety of careers. Each business/career representative will have an 8' table and 2 chairs provided in the gym. You will talk to groups of students about career opportunities available in your field/industry. There will be 20 minutes per station rotations (15-minute presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. Wear your maroon on Tuesday in support of the Uvalde community whose students and staff return to school that day.

Utopia ISD will begin classes at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. At 10:00 AM students in grades Pre Kindergarten through fourth will report to their classroom in the Elementary Building and students in grades five through twelve will report to their third period class. Breakfast will be served beginning at 9:15 AM in the cafeteria. Even though local and state roads may be open we encourage everyone to proceed with extreme caution, especially at low water crossings. Please don't take any chances and be safe!

Utopia ISD is on a delayed start today until 10:00 AM. Currently busses are scheduled to run on a two hour delay. Further decisions concerning school today will be made as more information about road conditions becomes available. Please continue to monitor the district facebook page and website for future.

CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT BANDERA On Saturday, August 20, 2022, the Utopia High School varsity boys cross country team competed in a field of more than twenty-four teams at the Bandera cross country relays. The team of Luke Leavelle and Jaxon Lopez finished fourth overall. The second team from Utopia ran into hard times and were not able to complete the race, but both participants, Taylor Wiekamp and Fischer McCarty, gave it all they had. In the JV Division the team of Braydon Long and Lawson Leavelle finished fifth in a field of fifteen.
